Portrait Dr Martin Schreiber

Dr Martin Schreiber, MHBA

After studying at the universities of Heidelberg, Hamburg and Cape Town, Dr Schreiber began his specialist training at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin before moving to the renowned Clinic for Plastic and Hand Surgery with the St. Georg Burn Centre in Leipzig to become a specialist in plastic surgery. In addition to his specialist qualification in plastic and aesthetic surgery, Dr Schreiber also completed additional training in hand surgery. His keen interest in sports medicine and nutritional medicine is reflected in his part-time activities as a certified team doctor and sports physician in team and popular sports. In parallel to his demanding work as a surgeon, Dr Schreiber completed a Master's degree in Healthcare Management at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Nuremberg (MHBA). From 2017 to 2021, he worked as a senior physician in the development and expansion of plastic surgery and hand surgery at the Dresden University Hospital of the Technical University, where he was a senior consultant. In addition to the broad spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr Schreiber also expanded the focus of hand surgery care in eastern Saxony with the establishment of the Hand Trauma Centre and further developed the specialised treatment of lipoedema. Since 2023, Dr Schreiber has been Chief Physician of the newly founded Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Helios Klinikum Erfurt. Dr Schreiber is now contributing his experience in university plastic surgery as head of the LIPOhelp® location in Berlin/Potsdam, thus expanding the range of services for our lipoedema patients in the capital.
