Lipoedema information day in Cologne

On Saturday, 25 April 2026, our lipoedema conference took place in Cologne.information event took place. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of this often misunderstood disease and to inform sufferers and interested parties about prevention, treatment options and improving quality of life.

Renowned experts such as Prof. Dr Jennifer Schiefer, Dr Sonja Kästner, Prof. Dr Niclas Broer and Prof. Dr Paul Heidekrüger explained the basics of lipoedema, emphasised the importance of early diagnosis and presented various treatment options. They paid particular attention to the psychosocial aspects of the disease.

The medical presentations were supplemented by contributions from our LIPOhelp Coach® Mellani Heidekrüger, our self-management and nutrition specialist in the field of lipoedema, as well as a speaker from Medi, who explained the latest and most up-to-date developments in compression garments.

The event offered participants not only sound information, but also the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and other people affected, which was greatly appreciated by those present.

Thanks again to everyone involved - it was a great and unforgettable morning!
